Celebrating Our Cub!

University Laboratory School is proud to recognize senior Margaret “Greta” Bailey, who has been named a 2027 National Merit Scholarship Semifinalist!

Greta is being recognized among more than 16,000 Semifinalists nationwide who will continue in the competition for National Merit Scholarships.

More than 1.2 million high school juniors nationwide entered the 2027 National Merit Scholarship Program by taking the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT). Semifinalists represent less than 1% of U.S. high school seniors, making this recognition an exceptional academic achievement.

As she moves forward in the competition, Greta will be considered based on her academic record, school and community involvement, leadership, honors and awards, along with an essay and school endorsement.

We are incredibly proud of Greta and the hard work, leadership, and academic excellence she represents within our Cub community. Please join us in congratulating Margaret “Greta” Bailey on this outstanding achievement!

Congratulations, Greta!
